In force as of 30 October 2026 — Version 1.0
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the "Terms") govern all contractual relations between AUREAMEDAL (sole proprietorship, SIRET 842 737 025 00069, VAT no. FR 80 842 737 025 — full details in the legal notice) and any individual or legal entity wishing to order custom medals, trophies and ribbons (the "Client").
Any order implies the Client's unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
AUREAMEDAL designs and has manufactured custom medals, trophies and ribbons for sports event organisers, clubs, associations, local authorities and companies: medals (finisher, custom-shaped, numbered editions), trophies and plaques, ribbons, stickers.
MOQ (minimum order quantity): 50 pieces per medal reference, unless otherwise agreed on the quote; no minimum for trophies and ribbons ordered on their own. The visuals shown for illustration are not contractual — a visual proof (artwork proof) is systematically provided before production.
Every project is the subject of a free personalised quote, valid for 30 days from its issue. The quote details the product, the quantity, the unit price excl. VAT, the total excl. and incl. VAT, and the indicative lead times.
The order is firm and final upon receipt of the quote signed by the Client (electronic or physical signature) and full payment of the amount including VAT. Manufacturing only starts once the Client has validated the visual proof. If no visual proof can be validated, nothing is manufactured: the order is cancelled at the request of either party and the sums paid are refunded.
Prices are expressed in euros, excluding tax (excl. VAT) and excluding shipping costs. French VAT at the rate in force (20%) applies to domestic sales.
Special cases:
Standard lead times are 3 to 5 weeks after validation of the visual proof and receipt of payment, barring logistical contingencies. These lead times are indicative. AUREAMEDAL undertakes to inform the Client of any foreseeable delay.
Delivery to mainland France and Europe; French overseas territories and other destinations on request. The shipping method and costs are specified on the quote depending on the destination.
Delivery is carried out by carrier (La Poste, Chronopost, FedEx, DHL, UPS, DPD depending on destination) with a tracking number sent by email.
Risk is transferred to the Client when the parcel is handed over to the carrier. The Client must check the condition of the parcel on receipt and raise any reservations with the carrier within 3 days (French Commercial Code L133-3). Where the Client is a consumer, risk only passes to them when they take physical possession of the parcel, and this 3-day period does not reduce any of their statutory rights.
Payment is made by:
Standard terms: full payment on order. Manufacturing starts as soon as payment is received and the visual proof is validated.
Any late payment results, in accordance with article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code, in the application of penalties at the ECB rate increased by 10 points and a fixed recovery indemnity of €40, without prejudice to any other course of action.
Custom products do NOT benefit from the right of withdrawal pursuant to article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code (goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised).
The validated visual proof constitutes the Client's final commitment to the artwork and specifications.
Products are guaranteed to conform to the validated visual proof. Any non-conformity (manufacturing defect, quantity error, discrepancy with the visual proof) must be reported in writing within 7 days of delivery, accompanied by photos.
AUREAMEDAL undertakes, at its discretion, to take back, remake or refund non-conforming items. Usual manufacturing tolerances (≤ 3% on dimensions, slight variations in shade, plating or enamel) do not constitute a non-conformity. Where the Client is a consumer, this period and this choice do not limit their statutory warranties: the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, two years from delivery) and the warranty against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
The Client warrants that it holds the necessary rights to the event, federation and sponsor logos, trademarks or artwork supplied for manufacturing. It indemnifies AUREAMEDAL against any third-party claim in this respect.
AUREAMEDAL never publishes an event's artwork without the agreement of its organiser. Other artwork may be used for commercial reference purposes, unless the Client expressly objects.
The personal data collected is processed in accordance with the GDPR policy detailed in the legal notice.
In the event of a dispute, the Client first sends a written complaint to contact@aureamedal.com, to seek an amicable solution.
Consumer mediator being appointed: their contact details will appear in this article as soon as they are appointed. In the meantime, the official list of approved mediators is available at economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso.
In the absence of an amicable resolution, any dispute shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Avignon district (84). French law is solely applicable. This jurisdiction clause does not apply to a Client who is a consumer, who keeps the choice of court the law gives them and the benefit of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
